Cancellation Policy

This Cancellation Policy explains how subscriptions work, how to cancel, and what happens to your account and credits after cancellation.

Quick summary: Cancel anytime from your Dashboard. Your subscription ends at the end of the current billing period. Your remaining credits never expire and stay on your account.

1. Subscription Billing

ThumbnailGrader offers monthly subscriptions that automatically renew each month. Your billing date is set when you first subscribe, and you will be charged on that same date each month until you cancel.

Credits from your monthly subscription are added to your account at the start of each billing cycle and do not stack separately — they are added to your existing credit balance.

Refund windows vary by billing interval. Self-service from your dashboard, no email required, provided the eligibility conditions below are met.

Monthly subscriptions & one-time credit purchases

Yearly subscriptions

Yearly plans bill once and unlock 12 months of credits delivered monthly. They carry a longer refund window with a small usage tolerance so a quick test grade doesn't disqualify you:

Stripe's processing fee (a few percent of the charge) is not returned to us when we refund — it's an unavoidable cost of payment processing, not something we keep. We absorb that cost so you receive your full purchase amount back.

Refund timing — how fast you'll see it

Once your refund is approved (either via the self-service button on your dashboard or by emailing support), we initiate the refund with Stripe within 48 hours — usually within minutes for self-service requests, and within one business day for email requests. After we issue it on our end, it typically takes 7–10 business days for the refund to post back to your credit card. That second window is set by your card issuer (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, etc.) and is outside our control. If you don't see the refund on your statement after 10 business days, email us with your account email and we'll dig into Stripe's records and follow up with your bank if needed.

5. One-Time Credit Purchases

One-time credit purchases follow the same 3-day refund window as monthly subscriptions (zero credits used since the purchase). Credits are added immediately upon payment confirmation. If you experience a technical issue (credits not added, double charge, etc.), contact us promptly at support@thumbnailgrader.com — technical issues are resolved separately from the refund policy.

6. Chargebacks

If you initiate a chargeback with your bank or card issuer instead of contacting us to resolve an issue, we reserve the right to suspend your account pending resolution. We encourage you to contact us first — most issues can be resolved quickly and fairly.

7. Account Deletion

If you wish to have your account and all associated data permanently deleted, contact us at support@thumbnailgrader.com. Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. Any remaining credits will be forfeited upon deletion.
